What is the appropriate attire for a National Figure Skating Competition?

I was wondering what would be appropriate attire for going to watch the 2008 U.S. Figure Skating National Championships? Do you need to dress up or is it more laid back?

1. nice jeans and a nice shirt or sweater it's very casual wear what you would wear to school
2. just wear normal clothes, not too shabby, but not fancy. and dress warm
3. I would just wear some casual clothes (not grubby, but not super dressed up), and make sure to dress warm because it will be cool.
4. I would wear something warm and comfortable - not too fancy either. Maybe what you would wear to work on a Friday...
